Swim Safe, Learn Right: Protecting Our Children, Educating Our Communities

Welcome to "Swim Safe, Learn Right." Our mission is to raise awareness about the risks of outdated and fear-based water safety programs and promote trauma-free, evidence-based swimming education for children. We need your voice in this movement.

We invite you to share your story, raise awareness, and help us create a safer and kinder environment for our little ones in the water. Through your testimony, we can make real change

Your Experience Matters: Share your experience or testimony on how certain swim programs impacted you or others.

If you or someone you know has been affected by fear-based water safety programs, we want to hear from you. Your testimony could help us raise awareness and change the way water safety is taught.

Social Media Campaign:

Campaign Name: #SwimSafeLearnRight
Campaign Hashtags: #SwimSafeLearnRight, #WaterSafetyEducation, #TraumaFreeLearning

Step 1: Create a Social Media Kit
I intend to create pre-designed posts, graphics, and sample captions to make sharing easy.

Why we aren't here yet, I need you, I need you to help me with the information from above, we need more materials, we need statements and more facts to share.

Step 2: Share Testimonials
Post short videos or quotes from individuals who have experienced fear-based water programs or similar approaches. Once these are up you can help by encouraging followers to share their personal experiences with the campaign hashtags to foster a positive and supportive conversation around the importance of respectful, trauma-free swimming lessons.

Step 3: Host Live Q&A or Webinar
Feature child development experts, pediatricians, and certified swim instructors to discuss the dangers of fear-based swimming lessons and highlight methods that prioritize positive water experiences. Focus on helping parents understand what to look for when choosing a water safety program for their children, and emphasize the importance of a gentle, child-led approach.

If this is something you'd love to be a part of let me know: mailto:navigatingneva@gmail.com

Step 4: Spread the Word with Parent & Instructor Communities
Collaborate with online parent groups, influencers in child development, and swimming instructors who share your commitment to water safety education. (this is where we are now, but I still need your help, please keep sharing) Ask others to help promote this campaign and share their knowledge of trauma-free, developmentally appropriate methods that support children’s growth and confidence in the water.
